{It's been too long..}

aaaawwww..it's been so long since I posted last! Things have been tough lately....car business and photo business are both slow right now....crossing my fingers that my interview on Monday {at Java Joes Coffee} went well and I outshined everyone..even though I nearly had an emotional breakdown {due to the pressure I put on myslef to interview perfect} before the intervew..I hope they couldnt tell and will hire me!! Praying!! Here are some photos of some things recent...but I did get off track from shooting everday.

{Dragonflies}

Today was almost magical...In my yard was a crazy amount of dragonflies..they were everywhere..and NOT shy...I tell Corey.."look"..and point..."see all the dragonflies"...one of them lands on my pointing finger...Corey says that they have landed on him several times...so I run in and grab my camera..picture this..I am standing in the middle of the yard..finger pointed to the sky..looking in the viewfinder of my camera and just waiting for a dragonfly to land on my finger long enough to snap the photo....it took 3 trys but only about 10 min..here are the shots...

{A Great Day}

Corey sold the Ranger...so he has money for inventory...since we are having such a hard time getting a bid in at the auction we started looking at personal sellers..today he came across a 95 wrangler..I have always wanted a Jeep but couldnt afford one..even when I had the extra money to buy one I got scared..after all Jeep does stand for 'Just Empty Every Pocket'......lol...b/c I wanted an older Jeep I knew it would need work and I would be emptying my pockets...the seller on this jeep just wanted to get out from under it...so....lucky for me he was selling it below book..way below book...So Corey buys the Jeep then trades me the Jeep for the Mustang!! YAY!! Here are some pics....

So I love lens flare in a photo BUT I hate how it loses a lot of vibrance and color with the haze..what I usually do is put the haze on its own layer and lightly brush over areas or lower the oppacity or both! But today I found a great tut from photoshopgirl.com ... this tut allows me to add some warmth back into the photo without effecting the entire photo (by making faces and skin too orange or red).... I love it...I posted a before and an after using the skills learned today..thanks photoshop girl!!

{Day 14 and 15}

I have decided to walk for Breast Cancer Awareness..the walk should be sometime in October so I have plenty of time...I would like to pledge $1000 and I think I may be able to reach that goal with t-shirt sales...here are some items I have been working on the last couple days....

{Day 11, 12, 13--I keep forgetting}

Day 13th I just took this photo of my mailbox...no reason it is just what I did..lol...no enhancemnets on this photo though..it may seem a bit drab without those enhancements..I will get to them later and post it!

My clothes line is from day 12--I wanted to get some photos that I could hang in my laundry room (when it is finished)...these two are what I came up with!!

This is my pup Joe...this is my day 11 photo.....he usually does not sit still for anything but on this day he was the perfect little model....

Today was pretty good... I got up and watered the flower beds then got a print made up of the flier for the softball benefit then I met Ashley at the gym for a 30 min workout! When I got home Corey actually asked me to go for a walk with him!! During our walk {which wore him out 2 minutes into the walk..lol} I took tons of photos but erased them before putting them on the computer---dumb blonde moment....so I am sharing with you the flier I made for the benefit softball game..... I also posted a new pizza recipe that I am going to try for dinner!

{Day 09 April 05,2010}

I forgot to post yesterday so I am doing todays post on the next day...confusing? So my day was pretty busy for the most part--- Corey and I woke up and started looking for me a car--no luck--then we ran some errands--got him a new cell phone batter--went to the penny pincher--normal things--then we went home just relaxed a bit enjoyed sitting outside in this nice weather--I got Easter Lillys form mom {thanks mom} they smell so good--then I went to the gym with Ashley and Brooke! Then I passed out when I got home and showered--alll in all a pretty boring day!

{Day 8 April 03,2010}

This is cosmo--my crazy-silly kitty and Corey and Joes best friend!! I had a cord hanging out of the window in the livingroom to vaccuum the car...I had the window shut all the way down touching the cord---Cosmo--or Mo for short-- sat on the window seal and pawed at it until he got it opened then he climbed outside and sat there--it was a raining day so I didn't let him run and play and this was his way of saying, "I do what I want mom!"...lol...here is a pic of him looking in at me!!

{Day 7 April 2, 2010}

I spent the evening with mom watching 'The Blide Side' (super good--make you shed a tear--movie) when I got home there was a package for me!! My FIRST seamless background came in the mail while I was at mamas house!! YAY-- check out my very first subjects--haha!!

This afternoon was spent detailing the Mach 1 and getting it ready to sell!! If you saw this car before hand you will be very surprised at how good it looks today!!

{Day 6- April Fools Day}

Today was April Fools Day...did someone get me..YES..I am so naive...first it was one of my favorite vendors JoCo Coutoure...she announced that everything in her shop was FREE--BAM...'april fools' and then on a photo forum a guy announcde Canon is having a GREAT sale--like in the thousands....I was like,'where, where do I go?'...BAM april fools day..pathetic I am!!


On March 20th I was a backup shooter for Mrs. Ashley Homer with Impressive Images at her first wedding..... I kinda stayed back and just tried to capture from a different angle than she did and do the opposite of what she was doing in order to have a well rounded amount of finished projects to show the wonderful couple. Here is a collage of the couple and the first dance...the colors of the wedding where pink (although this looks purple..I need to tweek it some more) and brown..SO cute and any girls dream...If I were to get remarried Corey would say 'NO WAY..NOT PINK'...lol...enjoy.....

{Day 5- March 31, 2010}

Today I don't have any photos to post... I just did not bring my camera out with me..I spent most of the morning and afternoon at the acution--I ended up leaving Corey there to do the bidding--it is just so hot and it gets be irritating when dealers OVER BID (yeah then complain that they can't sell anything....'STOP BIDDING YOU MOOOORRRAAANNN'..if you didn't bid so high you wouldn't have to put such a high number on your window (which is over retail anyways)....needless to say Corey couldn't get a bid in to save his life....I just REFUSE to pay retail on anything especially at an AUCTION....

So we went home and hit the computers... I am SO wanting a convertible for the summer....found a few..waiting to see if anything pans out.....ended the night with fried scallops and fried shrimp--rolled up in a toasted garlic parmesean roll with a little mayo--YUMMY...watched 'Silence of the Lambs' and hit the sack!

My day in a nutshell....they can't all be good ones....I will strive for a good day Thursday!

{Day 5 March 30, 2010}

Today I followed Mrs. Ashley on her photoshoot for Miss Shaylynn...She was super sweet and let me capture a few photos to add to my website--I chose to show this one for my 365 b/c it really was ALL about the flowers for this shoot. Miss Shaylynn only wanted to pick flowers and hand them out!! She is super adorable :)...you can see more on my facebook fan page!


I cooked the recipe with scallops and pasta--I have never had scallops so I also bought shrimp..just to be on the safe side...GOOD THING I DID... I do not like scallops..I also bought a ceasor [sp] salad to eat on the side...it came with ceasor salad dressing...I also found out that I do not like ceasor dressing...dinner was a disaster tonight!! I will probably end up making Corey (he gave his dinner to Joe) and I grilled cheese later--YUM!

{Day 4-March 29, 2010}

So I feel a bit on the country side lately--I may even buy a pair of overalls!

I have been working in a flower bed, and messing with fruit trees (so that I have fruit to take to the farmers market--yep--I NEED overalls)..but today was the topping on the cake..I had Corey put up a clothes line for me!! It's small but it's helpful...I'll be glad to get back to modern day technology as soon as I hit the lottery :)

Yesterday I posted a recipe from The Pioneer Woman--Chicken Picatta--I made it for dinner tonight and it was GOOD--I mean GOOD--I made some changes though to fit my taste:

1st--I marinated my chicken over night in vinager,lemon juice, and italian seasonings--this made the chicken TO DIE FOR!!!

2. By accident--though I am not sure how..the bowl was sitting 2 inches from me--I forgot to dredge my chicken in flour before frying it--still tasted YUMMY!!

3. Because I am not a big fan of lemon and I had already marinated my chicken in lemon juice--I did not add any extra lemon to the sauce--It was still GOOD!!

4. Because I forgot to dredge my chicken in flour, I added a couple tbs to the sauce to help thicken up a bit--yep STILL good!!

{Day 3-March 28, 2010}

Today was a boring day...I had the fun task of backing up all of my documents on my desktop so that I can put them on my new laptop..YAY what fun :) ... I should have already had them all backed up...it's what I get for not making a good decision....Anywho here is a photo of my new laptop with my PINK mouse...aaaawww I LOVE my new PINK wireless mouse.....

{Day 2-March 27, 2010}

Last year I bought 4 trees--they all had leaves on them when I bought them but they quickly lost their leaves--I thought I killed them!! Turns out I didn't and here is this proof....

I have a Yoshimo Cherry Tree that sits in the front yard and on the side of the house I have a pear tree, a peach tree, a plum tree, and blueberry bushes....as well as yellow and coral colored teacup roses (not pictured)... I spent my afternoon adding flowers to the flower bed {Thanks MOM}...and then headed over to the flea market...as they were closing {BOO}...I really wanted to pick up an orange tree and an apple tree..maybe Sunday.....

{Day 1--March 26, 2010}

Today is the first day of my personal 365 day photo blog. I am excited to be doing this project and see how things change over time! I will post a {or many} photo(s) everyday of something that happened that particular day..with a short story..not that my life is very interesting but it will be fun to re-read this later in life!

Corey's dad, Carl, came into town {from TN} this weekend--he is heading back home in the morning---well we had a few left over biscuits from cracker barrel this morning so I thought I will try to make some homemade biscuits {with the help of Bisquick--of course} and I found a recipe online for homemade country gravy {look for that recipe under the page for recipes}. We enjoy Carl's company and hate to see him leave but it was a nice change for him to drive here instead of us making the drive!
